The Commission for the thesis in Medicine and Dentistry met on March 4 at 13 in the meeting room of the Presidency.

The committee, which is required to define the new procedures relating to the conduct of the degree which must include the participation of the external reviewer and evaluation of candidates by each individual commissioner to the Department proposes the following.

· SPEAKER:
- teacher or researcher of the Faculty (not adjunct professor),
- suggests the scope of the thesis that it can handle annually
- endorsed the development of the thesis.
- is part of the Board (must be present at the discussion, otherwise it will be replaced by a set of peers).

° linking:
- teachers, researchers, teachers of other Faculty, lecturer, hospital following a student in the preparation of the thesis and must approve it with the co-rapporteur. His presence at the graduation session is not necessary but desirable, in the absence of the rapporteur, will present the candidate.

· counterreport
- member committee and, as such, may be the rapporteur or the supervisor of another candidate or another, however, any member of the commission.
- the thesis must receive at least a week before the debate in digital format by the secretariat of the Presidency.
- has the duty to question the candidates' thesis.
- is appointed by the President of the Board or the Dean

· dissertation
- brief presentation by the rapporteur on the scope of research in which the work is part
- 7 minutes for the presentation of the thesis by the candidate (the slides should be adequate in number and form)
- 7 minutes of discussion with the external reviewer of the thesis

• Evaluation by Commissioners
- every member of the Committee after each question, fill in the evaluation of the candidate.
- The board is a little feedback, good, excellent. Regarding:
'mastery of the subject discussed
' quality of oral presentation (clarity exposure, use of appropriate language, capacity for synthesis)
'quality of presentation graphics (the graphic clarity of the audio-visual image)
"demonstrated competence in the discussion

The new procedures will be applied by the seat of the summer session in 2010 experimentally.
cards will be collected by the committee chair and compared with the overall evaluation of the candidate expressed by the Committee in accordance with the procedures currently in use.
